Lip Display

When visiting a local beauty supply store I noticed the vividly colorful display of L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint and decided I’m give them a try. Now, I’m totally into frugal beauty and although they only cost about $2.99 each, I still will not often buy cosmetics in every color that’s available. Reason #1: I’m not an MUA, there’s no makeup kit building going on over here.
#2 Hubby don’t play that! He knows I’m a #lipsticklover but buying stuff “just because” isn’t how we work. We’re “not bout that” useless splurge life! lol

Also I noticed tons of other beauty enthusiasts are stating (and you’d think so due to the packaging) that L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint are dupes for the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks.

Too Faced Melted Lipsticks are liquid lipsticks and L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint is a high pigmented gloss. I am mentioning this because if you are looking for a really close dupe of Too Faced product, this isn’t it.

Now, back to the great things I wanted to share!

Now this wouldn’t be an honest review if I didn’t state that there were a few CONS. I can share a few tips I’ve found that help to solve the aforementioned issues with the product.

#1 Its feathers quite a bit and gets messy quick!

Solution: A lip liner will keep everything in its place.

#2 It comes out of the tube pretty quickly.

Solution: I recommend using a lip brush to apply so you can control the amount of product onto your lips.

Let’s Recap:

Hand Swatches

It’s a great price point, but (not exactly) a dupe for Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. Also, keep a lip liner and lip brush handy for neat application! So when you are looking for a new lippie, try your local beauty supply store. That’s my summer beauty secret. You never know what you are going to find! The frugal finds are always right under your nose! With a little patience and reapplying from time to time, you’ll be able to achieve a highly pigmented lip color for low cost!
